More About Flower Essence Therapy...
Flower essences and their application in addressing specific emotions and attitudes were first developed by an English physician, Dr. Edward Bach, in the 1930's, and have since gained world-wide recognition for their place amongst holistic health and wellness programs.![]() |

Flower essences are vibrational in nature, most commonly taken in oral form from a dropper bottle. They have no taste other than the preservative used, typically brandy or vegetable glycerin and, unlike essential oils, they are free of fragrance. They are most frequently prepared from a sun infusion of wildflower blossoms in a bowl of water, which is then further diluted into individual bottles.
Each flower essence embodies the specific energetic patterns and polarities of the flowering plant from which it was derived, and each drop within the bottle contains the whole configuration of the plant's archetype. As we enter into relationship with them, flower essences serve as catalysts and allies on our life journey.
Those drawn to receiving flower essence therapy are usually seeking an enhanced sense of self-awareness during their on-going transformation process. Rather than focusing on symptom relief, flower essences support the exploration of our underlying patterns, beliefs, and perspectives. They encourage us into a deeper relationship with the Self, creating room for observation, exploration, and choice, while offering us the opportunity to transform our relationship not only with ourselves, but also with others, and with the world around us. Because flower essences work by 'resonance,' they evoke only the potential already within us.
Flower essence therapy supports the integration of
polarities within our being, assisting us in being our truest selves,
and is often further enhanced when used in conjunction with additional
forms of self-awareness such as Polarity Therapy, meditation, journaling,
art-work, movement exercise, massage, and many other forms of holistic
health and health enhancement. A copy of the Flower Essence Society's
